Alvina's Lunches

ALVINA'S LUNCHES

Alvina Harrison-Wells

For the past few summers, this community and the Carpenters Cup has provided sack lunches during the summer months to not only children, but to anyone needing a lunch. These lunches were delivered to the park and to the square. Alvina Harrison-Wells was for the most part, the driving force behind these lunches. In November, she exchanged her earthly home for her heavenly reward. Her passing has left a huge hole at the Carpenters Cup. To honor her memory, a handful of sweet spirits and the Carpenters Cup are working up a plan to continue the lunches and calling them "Alvina's Lunches". Alvina left some big shoes to fill, and we will make every attempt to do this lunch project justice. Please follow our post as we work out the details of what we need and how to make these lunches a success. In the future, we will be asking for volunteers to help make and pack the lunches, delivering the lunches, money to purchase the food and paper items, and donations of food items. If the Lord is leading you, your organization, club, or church to participate, please call 660-679-3333. Thanks so much! Please share!
