At the March 11, 2025, Board of Aldermen meeting, Mayor Whiteside presented a proclamation recognizing the 250th Anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, and proclaimed that April 19, 2025, be known as "American Freedom Day" in Archie, Missouri.
