On Thursday, April 9, 2026, just before 10:30 p.m., deputies were alerted about a pursuit involving the Missouri State Highway Patrol that had entered Cass County. Deputies with the Criminal Apprehension Unit (CAU) intercepted the pursuit as it continued southbound on I-49. Eventually, the pursuit headed northbound. Deputies successfully grappled the suspect’s vehicle just north of 58 Highway. The suspect was arrested without incident and has been identified as 21-year-old Rogerick Redmond of Grandview. Redmond had previous warrants from Belton, Grandview and Kansas City, Missouri. He’s currently being held at the Cass County Jail with charges from this incident pending.
