Appleton City Museum would like to borrow 40 Christmas tree stands or tripods,
May-August to help Celebrate 40 years of the Appleton City Landmarks

Immaculate
Conception Church Lenten Fish Fry Dinners will be served March 6 and March 20
from 5:00 - 7:30 p.m. in St. Mary’s School Hall, Montrose. Dine-in and carry
will be served. The menu is fried fish, Suzy Q’s, cole slaw, corn bread,
cookies and a drink. Adults eat for $12, children under 10 for $8. Best fish
dinner around!
Growing
in Grace Community Center’s community dinner will be 3:00 p.m. March 7. The
menu is BLT sandwiches, salad bar and cookies. Bailea Johnson will be singing
at 4:00 p.m. Please come and join them.
The
Knights of Columbus will have their monthly pancake and sausage breakfast at
the Knight’s Hall in Montrose on Sunday, March 8 from 8:30 – 10:00 a.m. Treat your family to a hot breakfast you
don’t have to cook or clean up. A free
will donation will be greatly appreciated
St. Paul
Lutheran High School from Concordia MO is on their annual domestic 7 day tour
through Missouri, Kansas and Colorado. The touring choir is made up of 43
students and will be performing a varied program that includes classic German
works by J.S. Bach and Josef Rheinberger, as well as some hymns, anthems and
spirituals. To celebrate the 250th
anniversary of the United States, the program will include 2 sacred patriotic
pieces. The concert will take place 7:00
p.m. Thursday, March 5 at Zion Lutheran Church (in Prairie City), 101 SE
Country Road 9526, Rockville, MO 64780.
The concert is free but donations are kindly requested to help cover
expenses for their tour.
The AC
Spring City Wide Garage Sale dates have been set for April 24 and 25.
Information regarding permits will be posted at a later date.
Grace
Christian Academy will have their 6th annual hog roast dinner with
silent and live auctions fundraiser 4:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, March 14 in the
Lowry City Civic Center, 4th & Cleveland. The hog roast dinner
for $10 includes meat, sides, dessert and drink. Children 4-12 years eat for
$6, 3 and under are free. Carry out is available. Silent auction from 4:00–6:30
and live auction at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at the school or at the
door.
The
Appleton City High School Alumni Luncheon will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026
at 11:30. They are missing a class contact for the classes of 2016 and
2021. Reservation/meal is $15 in advance

River of
Life Fellowship’s Third Sunday for March will feature a special Seder meal
coupled with a Passover Teaching by Pastor James. There is no cost to attend the event, and
they invite and encourage each of you to make plans to do so. River of Life Fellowship in Rockville hosts a
special Third Sunday evening meeting each month, beginning at 6:00 p.m., with a
variety of events such as singspirations, special guests, banquets and meals,
fellowship, and family movie night. You

Appleton City Museum would like to list owners of century farms in their area
farm owners of 100+ years. Contact [email protected] or voice message
660-492-0131. They will assist you in filing an on-line application to the
University of Missouri Extension site OR only be listed (with no fee) in the
Appleton City Museum (12 mile radius). Eligibility is ownership by any and all
family members for 100 years and income from farming (renting is acceptable).
MU requires documentation and a fee. Be proud to be a pioneer family. Your
story is priceless.
Ohio
Christian Church invites area women to be guests at their Annual Ladies Retreat
on March 21, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This spring they’ll be putting down
roots and experiencing a mountain-top moment with guest speaker Whitney Kinne
of Clinton leading through Jeremiah 17:7-8. Whitney is a vivacious, kind, faith-walking
mom and career woman, raised in church and agriculture. They have all kinds of
wonderful surprises waiting for you, including a lovely, complimentary lunch.
