Sex Offender Located And Arrested In Nevada

On March 2, 2026, Sgt. Keithly of the Nevada Police Department obtained information regarding a registered sex offender believed to be living in Nevada. During further investigation, it was discovered that the individual had been residing in Nevada for approximately one year without properly registering as required by law. Records indicated the subject had last registered in 2023 in the Kansas City, Missouri area.
Nevada Officers conducted follow-up investigative efforts and successfully located the offender, identified as Leslie Williams, who had been using a different last name within the Nevada community. During the investigation, officers identified multiple sex offender registration violations.
Williams was taken into custody and transported to the Vernon County Jail for holding. The Vernon County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office later filed formal charges for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Williams was issued a $10,000 cash-only bond.
