A heartfelt thanks goes out to all
who donated blood at Ellett Memorial Hospital’s Blood Drive on Friday, July 25th.
They not only met but far exceeded their donation goal. With 26 donors,
Friday’s blood drive set a new record for Ellett Memorial.
Which is proof that local blood
drives make a real, significant impact. An estimated 9 out of 10 individuals
will need blood or blood product at some time in their lives. Community Blood
Center (CBC) is the primary supplier of blood and blood components to 70+
hospitals and medical centers in the greater KC region and serves hospitals in
over 70 counties in Missouri and Kansas.
Since opening in 1958, over 800,000 patients have received blood donated
through CBC. The generous blood donations from Ellett Memorial’s blood drive
could potentially help save up to 81 lives in those counties.
