Bed Bugs Found in Local School

To the Parents of the Appleton City School District:

The Appleton City School District has been notified of a case of bed bugs in our school district.

The district is following the Department of Health guidelines in order to prevent the spread of bed bugs within their school. Your child may come home from school today with their belongings in a trash bag.

Please take the time at home to inspect your child’s belongings such as coats, hoodies, hats, gloves, and backpacks. If you find any bed bugs we would ask that you call the school office or school nurse, so that we may continue to focus on areas of the school that need to be examined and treated further.

The Appleton City School will be exterminating and deep cleaning the school buildings in the next few days as well as the week of Spring break.

If you have any questions you may call the school at (660)476-2161 ext. 7
