On Tuesday, February 4th, 2025, the Vernon County Sheriff's Office attempted to make a routine traffic stop ,after the subject stopped he then fled the scene in his car. After a brief pursuit the subject fled on foot after he wrecked his car. Sheriff Buehler was able to deploy a drone from Vernon County Emergency Management . The suspect was located immediately and was taken into custody and placed in the Vernon County Jail . Formal charges were sent to the Vernon County Prosecutors Office. One Officer was injured during the foot pursuit and was taken to Nevada Regional Medical Center.
