Earl Leroy Kinney Sr. 84, of Louisburg, Kansas passed away
peacefully February 6, 2025 at Shawnee Post Acute and Rehabilitation
Center in Overland Park, Kansas. A
visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, February 15, 2025
at Mullinax Funeral Home, Drexel chapel (816-657-4400). Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am
Saturday, also at the chapel. Burial
will take place in Rockville Cemetery, Louisburg, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu
of flowers, to the Miami County Diabetes Support Group. Messages of condolence may be left for the

Earl “LeRoy” Kinney, Sr. was born on November 17,
1940 in Mason City, Iowa to Irene (Fewins) & Earl F. Kinney.
He worked most of his life as a Union Laborer with Local #1290
& Heavy Equipment Operator with Operating Engineers Local #101. When
LeRoy wasn’t hard at work, he enjoyed spending time with his family, working on
his farm, fishing, camping, canoeing and playing dominos. He also had a strong devotion to his church
and was a faithful Pentecostal follower and a member of the Assembly of God
Church.
Leroy was proceeded in death by the love of his life, Grace
Kinney, whom he shared 37 years of marriage, his former wife, Frances Moore,
his parents, eight siblings and one grandchild.
Survivors include his daughter, Jeanna Calvin (Eddy Cooper) of
Overland Park, KS and sons, Randy Kinney, Earl L. Kinney, Jr. and Dusty Kinney
of Kansas, two sisters, Marcella Mann of Tonganoxie, KS and Linda Bell of
Tuscumbia, MO., eight grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren and two great-
great- grandchildren, along with numerous beloved nieces & nephews.
Leroy was the glue that held our family together. Papa touched
many lives and his presence will be deeply missed.
