921 Transmitter Change Monday, February 10th

Things are getting back to normal at 92.1 after the winter ice storm damaged the transmitter that broadcasts our sound.

For the first time since 1962, we were off the air for an unbelievable and grueling 2 weeks.

The Transmitter was damaged after it tried to function on only phase 1 electricity.. it was just too much for it to handle and the transmitter  shut itself down before it caught on fire.

The good news is.. the transmitter has been replaced and will be installed on Monday, February 10th at approximately 2 pm.

The change should not take over 30 minutes. We will be off the air except for broadcasting live through streaming at  921news.com.

This style of broadcast continues through satellite magic… without a transmitter. Thanks for your support during this challenge.
