Harrisonville Announces New Police Chief

 The City of Harrisonville is excited to announce the hiring of Randy Moody as the next Chief of Police.

Moody, a Missouri native, comes to Harrisonville with 30-years of law enforcement experience, serving in Missouri and in Colorado.

Moody was selected as part of a nationwide search, which received dozens of local and national applicants. He will begin serving as Harrisonville Police Chief on September 16, 2024.

Before accepting the position in Harrisonville, Moody held the rank of Captain in the Aurora, CO Police Department, where he has served since 1996.

Moody’s leadership will be valued, and the City of Harrisonville is proud to have his innovative and dedicated contributions to ensuring the safety and security of our community.
