Big Night for Pleasant Hill Police Officers

Wednesday night, August 21st, the Pleasant Hill Police Department was pleased to present some earned, and well deserved awards to a few of their Pleasant Hill Officers.

The T.R.I. Award (the Eagle) is awarded monthly to the officer that has demonstrated Trust, Respect and Integrity which are core values they strive every day to honor, as well as setting the example day to day with their work ethic, great attitude and willingness to do what it takes to accomplish the department’s mission of serving our community.  This month’s recipient was their new School Resource Officer, Officer West.  It was awarded to him from the previous recipient, Officer Ness.  It will be up to Officer West to determine who earns it next month!

Their next award was a Life Saving Award awarded to Lt. Langsdale from when he was still Sgt. Langsdale.  His quick thinking, staying calm under pressure, and taking appropriate action allowed him to save a member of the community’s life.  The fantastic Pleasant Hill Fire Department and EMS members (who also did and continue to do a fantastic job) were consulted and all agreed that Lt. Langsdale was absolutely deserving of this honor.

Finally, Officer West and Officer Ness were awarded a Commendation for their efforts this summer when they assisted an elderly member of the Pleasant Hill community with getting much needed cooler air during a very hot couple of weeks.

Congratulations go out to these officers who were willing to go above and beyond for their community.
