Most of the Amsterdam Missouri Main Street empty buildings and business buildings will be put on the auction block on Wednesday August 28th.
There are 11 buildings on the north side of the square to include the Amsterdam Theatre, the Amsterdam Décor and More building to include the former Amsterdam Café that closed on August 16th.
There will be 5 buildings on the South Side of the Amsterdam Main Street that will be sold at auction.
The announcement of the sale has created the attention of local residents and business owners and has touched the hearts of those that call this town their home. The future of Amsterdam is a concern for the community.
The committee of the Amsterdam Jubilee, stands strong on continuing the traditional Amsterdam Jubilee celebration that is scheduled this year for Saturday September 28th.
