Just before 5 p.m. June 7, 2024, deputies attempted a vehicle stop in the area of 58 Highway and Strasburg after they observed that it was speeding.
The driver accelerated and attempted to flee from deputies — causing them to initiate a pursuit.
The driver came to a stop on 179th St., east of E Highway with the suspect fleeing on foot from the vehicle.
He has since been identified as 32-year-old Nicholas Davis.
Davis has an active warrant for misdemeanor fraud in Kansas City.
He’s currently being held at the Cass County jail, with charges from today’s incident pending.
No injuries occurred during this incident.
