Jerry Kendall, 80 of Belton, Missouri passed away May, 11, 2026 at his home in Belton. A visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 pm Saturday, May 16, 2026 at the South Haven Baptist Church, 16800 Bel- Ray Blvd, Belton, MO 64012. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm Saturday, also at the church. Private burial in Raymore Cemetery, Raymore, Missouri. Jerry was born March 11,1946 in Kansas City, Mo. The son of
Edwin J. Kendall and Frances L. Ward (Kendall) (Patton).
Jerry joined the Navy in 1963 when he was just 17 years old.
He was stationed in places such as Norfork, Virginia; Key West, Florida;
Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; and Coronado Island, California, before being deployed to
Vietnam. Upon return from overseas, Jerry married his beautiful wife of 59
years, Brenda S. Kendall (Day). She was the love of his life. Jerry had various
jobs such gas station attendant, working at Richards Gebauer airbase, and
driving a truck for Hudson foods. He started working as a truck parts salesman
at Arrow truck sales and quickly became one of the top salesmen in the Kansas
City area.
Jerry was a hard-working family man and Christian who gave
his life to the Lord Jesus Christ. He was a deacon at South Haven Baptist
church. Jerry loved things such as hunting and fishing trips with his son and
grandsons. He had a great time on vacation with his children and
grandchildren. Jerry was always willing
to jump in and lend a hand when someone needed help. He was described as the
most amazing man who you could not put into just two paragraphs. His faith and
loyalty were unmatched. The love he had for his family showed in all the things
he did in life. He built an amazing legacy to leave to his wife, children,
grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by: His mother Frances L Patton,
Father Edwin J Kendall ,2 Brothers- Lloyd D Kendall, Ronald C Kendall, Grandson
- Micheal B. Kendall and so many other family members.
