Vehicle Theft in Raymore Saturday, April 11th

 On 04/11/26 at approximately 4:23 a.m., deputies were notified of a possible vehicle theft in progress in the area of Johnston Dr. in Raymore.

While en route, Raymore Police officers located the vehicle which began fleeing the area.
Deputies located the vehicle in the area of MO-58 and Dean Avenue.
Deputies pursued the vehicle until it stopped near 155th Street, west of Hardesty Ave. in Kansas City, Missouri where five occupants fled on foot into a nearby wooded area.
All five occupants were apprehended nearby a short time later.
A search incident to arrest of the vehicle revealed a rifle caliber pistol which had been modified to shoot fully automatic.
Two adults were taken into custody. Three juveniles were released to their parents pending further investigation.
The UAV and K9 teams from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office both helped during this incident. The Raymore, Belton and Grandview Police Departments also assisted, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The two adults who were arrested are being held at the Cass County jail with charges pending.
