With the assistance from the Bates County Health Center and My Heart Check, Steve and Peggy Berkebile announce the 2026 Free Youth Heart Screening to be held on June 13th. Scheduled Screenings will be held at the Bates County Health Clinic in Butler.
A heart check is free and just takes 30 minutes- no
pain, no stress, no hospitals. The same test can cost more than $1500 dollars
in a hospital setting, but you now have a special opportunity to receive them
completely free of charge.
The Bate County Health Center, Steve and Peggy
Berkebile, former residents of Butler, and My Heart Check have come together to
provide these potentially lifesaving tests at no cost, with the goal of helping
families avoid the tragedy of losing a child too soon to a condition that could
have been detected.
The Bates County health Center and Steve and Peggy
Berkebile invite you to schedule a child’s Heart Check by going to
myHeartCheck.org on line to register your child, free of charge.
The screening will be held on June 13th from
9 am until 3 pm for ages 8-years-old to 21-years-old. The testing is free of
charge and will be held at the Bate County Health Center in Butler.
