Suspect With Warrants Arrested In Nevada

On Friday, March 6th, 2026, Cpl. Francis was off duty when he observed a subject outside a residence in Nevada, who he knew had outstanding felony warrants. Cpl. Francis immediately notified on-duty officers of the subject’s location.

The subject was known to flee from law enforcement, and several officers responded to the residence to assist. When officers attempted to make contact, the subject hid inside the home and attempted to escape out a back window.

Because officers had the residence surrounded, the subject was unable to flee and ultimately surrendered to officers.

The subject, Destyn Shaw, was taken into custody on outstanding warrants for Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Resisting Arrest, Operating a Motor Vehicle in a Careless Manner, and Leaving the Scene of a Crash.
