The Arbor Day Foundation has once again named the City of Rich Hill a 2025 Tree City USA in honor of its ongoing commitment to plant, grow, and maintain trees that benefit the entire community.
This marks the third consecutive year Rich Hill has received
this national recognition, highlighting the city’s continued dedication to
urban forestry, environmental stewardship, and enhancing the quality of life
for residents.
Tree City USA communities meet four core standards:
maintaining a tree board or department, having a community tree ordinance,
investing in forestry efforts, and celebrating Arbor Day. Rich Hill’s
consistent efforts—from tree planting initiatives to ongoing care and
maintenance—demonstrate the city’s pride in preserving its natural beauty.
City officials extend their appreciation to staff,
volunteers, and community members who have supported these efforts year after
year. Their work ensures that Rich Hill remains a greener, healthier, and more
vibrant place to live.
Here’s to another year of growth and community pride! 🌱
