At approximately 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 1st, 2026, a citizen contacted the Harrisonville Police Department and reported they had located a deceased male in the creek near Sutherlands. Officers and detectives responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. The deceased person was taken to the medical examiner's office. At this time, the identity of the deceased person has not been confirmed by the medical examiner. We will provide an update when a positive identification has been made.
