Raymond Kimminau, 88 of Adrian, Missouri passed away on December
13, 2025, at the Baptist Homes of Adrian surrounded by his family. A visitation
will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm Friday, December 19, 2025 at Mullinax
Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009). Funeral Mass will be held 1:00 pm
Saturday, December 20, 2025 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 10044 S.W. 90th.
Street, Willowdale, KS 67159. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery,
Willowdale, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to
the Cemetery Fund of St. Peter, 8035 SW 160th Ave. Nashville, KS 67112 or the

Raymond was born on August 12, 1937, in Nashville, Kansas, to William (Bill) and Catherine (Clouse) Kimminau. He was the sixth of eight children in the family who made their home on a farm north of Willowdale. He attended the Catholic grade school in Willowdale and enjoyed playing baseball as a young boy. During his freshman year of high school, Raymond quit school and began operating heavy machinery. In August 1960, while living in Oklahoma, he was drafted into the United States Army. He was stationed in Darmstadt, Germany, as a private. His company transported and assembled the “Honest John” nuclear warhead.
Upon returning to the US, Raymond resumed constructing roads and dams. While living in Topeka, Kansas, he began dating and would soon marry Carolyn Kanngiesser. At this time, he also earned his GED. Work took the couple to Las Vegas, New Mexico, where their daughter, Stephanie Ann, was born in 1967. Another job change brought them to La Cygne, Kansas, where their second child, Curt Alan, was born in 1971. The family would make one more move to Adrian, Missouri, when Raymond began his 21-year career with P&M Coal Company. After the mine closed, Raymond went to work for the Operating Engineers, while running his own dirt work company on the side. He loved this work and continued working into his 70s.
Raymond has been described as kind, humble, honest and hard-working. He loved being outside, sharing the harvest of fruit, vegetables, and pecans that he grew, playing Pitch and visiting casinos, and fishing. During his latter years, he cared for his wife of 59 years with constant, loving devotion. He loved his family above all else.

Dustman of Pleasant Hill, MO.; son Curt (Tracie) of Adrian, MO.; grandchildren
Caitlin (Tyler) Ryser of Adrian, Hannah (Peter) Ingles of Overland Park, KS.,
Colton Kimminau of Adrian, Rachel (Ryan) Carpenter of Centerville, UT., and
Crosby Kimminau of Adrian; great-granddaughters Heidi and Demi Ryser of Adrian;
sisters Joan (Lawerence) Kanngiesser of Wichita, KS., and Marie Taylor of
Kansas City, MO., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Carolyn; his parents; and sisters Alice Henning, Doris Conrardy, Mary
Ellen Albanesi; and brothers, Bob Kimminau and Jack Kimminau.
