If
you or someone you know will be spending Thanksgiving alone this year, a local
effort in Henry County is making sure no one goes without a holiday meal.
A community Thanksgiving program in Clinton, Missouri is offering free holiday
meals to anyone in Henry County who needs one. Organizers say
there are no
income requirements, and participants do not
have to be homebound to receive a delivered meal. The goal is simply to make
sure everyone has the chance to enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
Residents
can reserve
a delivered meal by calling the Clinton Flower Shop at
660-885-6921. The deadline for reservations is Wednesday,
November 26th at 5 p.m.
For
those who prefer to eat in, a sit-down meal will be served on Thanksgiving Day
at The
Eagles Lodge, located at 723 North 3rd Street in Clinton. The meal is
available between noon and 2 p.m., and no reservations are required.
There
are also designated pickup locations for individuals experiencing homelessness,
including the First Baptist Church downtown, the Missouri 6
Theater, and Westlake Hardware.
Organizers
encourage anyone who could use a warm meal—or knows someone who could—to reach
out and take part in the holiday tradition for Henry County residents.
For more information or to reserve a meal, call the Clinton Flower Shop at 660-885-6921.
