Janice "Jan" Payne, 81, of Butler, formerly of Eldon

 Janice “Jan” Payne, 81 of Butler, Missouri, formerly of Eldon, Missouri passed away October 12, 2025 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.  Cremation with memorial services to be announced at a later date.  Arrangements entrusted to Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009).  Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com.

 Jan was born July 31, 1944 in Jackson County, Missouri.  The daughter of William Cartmill and Charlene Owens.  She was a loving person and a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.  Jan was a devout Christian and was a member of many Baptist churches over the years.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents and on grandchild.  She is survived by her three children, 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and two sisters.

 Janice will always hold a special place in the hearts of those that loved and knew her.
