This public service message is from the desk of your Bates County Sheriff, remember to turn on your headlights when it is raining, and for your safety, remember to check those headlights, taillights and the lights that are installed above your license plate, to make sure they are working correctly. Lights go out, and most people don’t think to check those regularly… but it is a traffic violation a ticket can be given as a defective violation, and you will have to appear in court. Remember to turn on those headlights on when it is raining and check your headlights, tail lights and license plate lights on a regular basis.
