Vehicle Stop And Arrest In Butler

On Saturday, September 20th, After the  Bates County Sheriff’s Office Rodeo, Officers with the Butler Police Department made a vehicle stop with multiple people in the vehicle. A second Butler Police Department Officer arrived to assist. During the stop, one of the occupants, David Rhoades, attempted to flee but was tackled by one of the Butler Police officers. A second occupant, Amy MacLeod, attempted to toss a bag of dope under the patrol car while officers chased after David.

Both David Rhoades and Amy MacLeod were arrested at the scene.

Rhoades had felony Probation & Parole warrants out of Linn County Kansas. Officers also located meth in his bag, extra baggies, a pipe and scale. MacLeod also had baggies, a pipe, and a scale. Security cameras at the Bear Stop also provided additional evidence.
