Karen Russell 79 of Butler

 Karen Russell, 79 of Butler, Missouri passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.  A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at Mullinax Funeral Home, Butler (660-679-0009).  Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Thursday, September 18, 2025 also at Mullinax Funeral Home.  Burial to follow in Oak Hill Cemetery, Butler.  Memorial contributions may be made in Karen's memory to the Happy Hill Church of God or the Butler Community Food Pantry.  Messages of condolence may be left for the family at www.mullinaxfuneralhome.com.

Karen Clevland Russell was born on December 9, 1945, to Walter Samual Fuller and Mildred Marie Herman in Butler, Missouri. She was one one of six children and grew up in Butler Missouri.

Karen worked at Cass Regional Medical Center for many years, Jennings Grocery Store for 14 years, and for a few years worked at Movie Gallery, and volunteered for the Butler Food Pantry for 13 years. She has 2 sons, Richard William and Jason Dale. Later she married the love of her life, her Cowboy, Dwain Russell, in 1988. Through this union she gained 2 bonus daughters Jayne Marie and Lisa Lynn. Karen loved her family beyond measure and was at every event she was able to attend for her kids, grandkids, and great-grandchildren.  Karen loved to cook for her family and friends. She never went to a gathering empty handed and her Christmas Brisket, Cowboy beans, and her Pecan Pie will be missed. Karen was a God-fearing woman; she loved her church family at Happy Hill Church of God. She wanted her whole family to know the love of God. She enjoyed reading, listening to her Elvis, spending time with family, the color purple, and yellow roses.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Lynn Fuller, one half-sister Reta Boyce and her sister Verna Kooker.  She is survived by her Cowboy, Dwain Russell, two sons Richard Fisher of Lexington, Missouri, Jason Fisher and significant other Lana of Butler, Missouri, two daughters Jayne Russell-Sisk and significant other David of Butler, Missouri, Lisa Hough and Husband Randy of Butler, Missouri, 11 grandchildren: Dale, Tony, Lindsey, Morgan, Stephanie, Brooke, Lane, Dyllan, Zoee, Alexandria, Stephanie. 17 great-grandchildren, two brothers Joe Fuller and wife Peggy of Butler, and Samual Fuller and wife Beverly of Butler, one sister Carol Ireland and husband Jack of Nixa, Missouri. one sister-in-law Doris Fuller of Butler Missouri, one half-sister Betty Fuqua of Maryland, and several nieces and nephews.
