On 8/11/25 just after 1 a.m., deputies were
dispatched to the area of E 164th Terr in Belton in reference to a shooting.
Deputies met with Belton Police where the
incident happened but were unable to locate the shooter.
The victim was taken to an area hospital where
she was treated.
During the investigation, on 08/12/25 at
around 10:45 p.m., Deputies with the Criminal Apprehension Unit along with the
assistance of the Kansas City Police Department located the suspect in
Grandview.
They were able to successfully apprehend the
suspect.
41-year-old Jeffrey Arzola of Grandview was
transferred to Cass County custody.
Arzola is charged with Unlawful Use of A
Weapon (A Felony) and Armed Criminal Action (U Felony).
He’s currently at the Cass County Jail held
with no bond allowed.

Department and Kansas City Police Department assisted with this incident.
