Stolen Vehicle Recovered In Vernon County

On Wednesday, June 11th, 2025, the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office successfully recovered a stolen vehicle in rural Sheldon, Vernon County, Missouri, thanks to timely information received from another law enforcement agency. The vehicle had been reported stolen earlier the same day in Cedar County, MO.
Upon receiving information regarding the vehicle's whereabouts, deputies from the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office promptly initiated an investigation that led them to the location of the stolen vehicle. The quick action taken by law enforcement showcases the importance of inter-agency collaboration in combatting vehicle theft and enhancing community safety.
