Just before 8 o’clock Wednesday morning, June 11, 2025, Cass County deputies were dispatched to the area of 203rd St and P Highway in rural Pleasant Hill in regard to a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found an injured male. He was life flighted from the scene to a local hospital. He is improving and expected to make a full recovery. The suspect in this shooting was arrested in Independence, Missouri, on Friday, June 13, 2025. Charges are pending.
