Missouri Department of Conservation Day
Friday, Aug 8
Join the Missouri State Fair to celebrate Missouri Department of Conservation Day on
Friday, Aug. 8. Don’t miss the aquaria filled with all sorts of aquatic
creatures, and check out the exhibits on the fish, forests, and wildlife of
Missouri. You can also chat with conservation agents, biologists, and
foresters, and kids can find great activities in the Xplor Zone.
Enjoy these free conservation-related
programs on Aug. 8 at MDC’s outdoor pavilion:
- Fish Fry: Staff
will demonstrate how to cook and clean fish at MDC’s outdoor pavilion at
11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.
- Invasive Invaders: Starting at 10
a.m., join MDC and other partner groups at the MoDOT Highway Gardens for
the Invasive Invaders displays and activities.
- Xplor Zone: Visit the Xplor Zone with great activities
just for kids from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A visit to the Missouri Department of Conservation Building during
your visit is a must any day of the 2025 Missouri State Fair, Aug. 7-17, in
Sedalia.
