On Thursday,
June 26, 202525, at approximately 12:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a
residence in the area of S. State Route J in rural Cass County.
When they
got there, they made contact with a man who stated his granddaughter was
sexually assaulted by a man who was installing floors in the home.
After an
on-site investigation, deputies took 63-year-old Enrique Lopez Martinez of
Kansas City, Kansas, into custody.
Lopez
Martinez has been charged with two felony counts of Statutory Sodomy or
Attempted Statutory Sodomy with a Person Less Than 12 years old.
He’s currently being held at the Cass County Jail with no bond allowed.
