Everybody Dance/ Senior Citizens Hit the Floor

In today’s local news, we speak to the Senior Citizen’s in our area. Prior to Covid, the Senior Citizens in Bates County were kicking up their heels and dancing the night away 2 times each month.

Covid ended that and they are ready to start this adventure again. All Senior Citizens ages 55 and forward are invited to the first Senior Dance since Covid.

The first dance of the summer will be held at the Bates County Elks Lodge on Tuesday night June 3rd. The cost will be $7.00 per person and all guests are asked to bring a snack tray, drinks or beverages will be served on location and those attending are asked to not bring their own beverages, they will be provided.

The doors open at 5 pm with the DJ to spin the hits starting at 6 pm. Summer dance hours will be 6 till 9 and if there is enough interest and attendance  the dance will again return to 2 dances per month and the hours will change for winter.
