Rich Hill reports ARPA funds distributions by the Bates County Commission

Bates County ARPA funds

In light of recent concerns with the ARPA distributions by the Bates County Commission the City of Rich Hill would like to inform its citizens where the money was allocated.

Two of the city’s applications were accepted by the commissioners for funding. First one was the construction of a bulk water distribution center. Total funding from county ARPA funds for first application was $80,600. Second application was for the City of Rich Hill’s volunteer fire department to purchase new bunker gear, SCBAs (self-contained breathing apparatus), thermal imaging equipment, and repairs to fire trucks. Total funding from county ARPA funds for second application was $101,000.
In total between both awards the city received $181,600 in county ARPA distributions.
