In today’s news, 92.1 features a former Adrian High School Graduate. This student graduated from Adrian in 2021 where he won the State Wresting Championship Title at 160 pounds his Senior year.
We are talking
about none other than, the famous Cole Ritter, son of Steven, and Lori Ritter
of Adrian. The Grandson of Larry and Linda Ritter life-long Adrian
residents.
Cole was
recruited during his Senior year at Adrian and is now a student in his 3rd
year at Maryville University in St. Louis
On March 14th and 15th of this year, Cole Ritter won the NCAA D2 National Championship Title at 174 pounds. He is a 2-time All-American Scholar.

Graduate, currently majoring in Business Administration as he continues his
education in St. Louis.
Ritter is a redshirt junior at Maryville University in Creve Coeur. He entered the NCAA Division II national tournament as the No. 5 seed.
He won all four of his matches at 174 pounds. Ritter won his first match, 8-0, by major decision. In the quarterfinals, Ritter defeated the No. 4 seed by a 4-1 score in sudden victory.
Ritter kept rolling, winning his semifinal match over the No. 8 seed by a 10-6 decision. In the final, he beat the No. 6 seed by a 5-1 decision, earning his first national title.
In high school, Ritter, who is the son of Steven and Lori Ritter, was a four-time state qualifier and state medalist. He was a state champion at 160 pounds as a senior. Ritter owns several program records at Adrian, including first four-time state medalist, first four-time district champion, all-time wins with 170 and career records in takedowns, pins and win percentage. He went 40-0 at a senior, and lost only eight matches his entire career.
