Steer Weigh in for Bates County Fair will be March 9, 2025 from 1-3pm at the same location as last year, across from Mo-Kan Livestock Market in Passaic.
The Bates County Fair will be pulling hair DNA for the State Fair that day. All calves must have 840 tags in their ear. They will not pull DNA if they don't have the 840 tags in their ear to send into the State Fair.
The Bates County Fair have to have that number in order to send in DNA to the State Fair Office. They will still weigh them, but under the new law, they have to have them in their ear and health papers prior to any show they attend.
