It’s time for the annual “Shop with a Cop”. On Sunday, December 15th the Bates Country Sheriff’s Department, along with First Responders are treating area children to the opportunity to shop with a cop. Children’s names from the community have been submitted by local schools and suggestions from our community. There is still time to put a child’s name of that list. Call the Bates County Sheriff’s Department at 660-679-3232, and give those names to a deputy. There is still time for donations, either call the office or stop by the Sheriff’s Department located at 6 West Ft, Scott Street with your donations. All the excitement will take place at Walmart on December 15th, beginning at 4pm.
