Jerry Ross Miller, age 68 of Butler

Jerry Ross Miller, age 68 of Butler, Missouri died Saturday, November 2, 2024 at the Butler Center.  He was born June 19, 1956 to George Ross and Mary Marie Wagner Miller in St. Louis, Missouri.

Jerry, the youngest of 10 children, spent his early years in St. Louis and attended Clinton Branch Grade School and Roosevelt High School.  He later moved to Kansas City, Missouri where he spent most of his life.

Jerry's professional life was dedicated to his role as a machine operator until disability set him on a different path. However, this never dampened his convivial spirit. He was a man who was known as a character, practical joker, a flirt and one who liked to socialize.  An ardent member of the National Rifle Association, Jerry’s passion for westerns, NASCAR, and his beloved Kansas City Chiefs was well-known. His admiration for racing legend Dale Earnhardt was evident through an impressive collection of memorabilia.  Jerry will be fondly remembered as a man who lived life fully, embracing each day with joy and a dash of mischievous charm.

Jerry is survived by his sister, Mary Fuller and her significant other Dennis Russell of Butler, Missouri; three step-daughters, Tammy Roth of Las Vegas, Nevada, Linda Adkins of Belton, Missouri and Janet Graham and husband Rob of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; two nieces, Lisa Kirk of Butler, Missouri and Angela Fuller/Stewart and husband Jason of Harrisonville, Missouri;  seven great-nieces and nephews, Jessie Kirk, Shane Kirk, Kaina Stewart, Kaiya Stewart, Kaloni Stewart, Jagger Stewart and Kalea Stewart; and a great-great-niece and nephew, Alaina and Jax.  He was preceded in death by his parents; eight siblings, Freddy Murray, Thomas Murray, Larry Murray, Bud Miller, Jesse Miller, Helen Miller, Joan Miller and Nadine Miller; and a brother-in-law, Gary Fuller.
