Appleton City High School Senior Hallie Harkrader was recognized on Monday, November 11th with the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Good Citizen Award. The DAR Good Citizens Award and Scholarship Contest, created in 1934, is intended to encourage and reward the qualities of good citizenship.
This award, extended by
the Butler, MO Harmony Mission DAR Chapter, recognizes and rewards high school
seniors who possess the qualities of dependability, service, leadership, and
patriotism in their homes, schools, and communities. Hallie was selected by her
teachers because she demonstrates these qualities to an outstanding
degree.

Harkrader, presented her with a DAR Good Citizen pin just before Hallie read a
