There are just over 6 weeks until the annual Thanksgiving meal at the Butler Senior Center on Thanksgiving day. The Carpenter’s Cup Christian Gift and Book Store is asking for money and food donations in preparation for serving over 600 meals to families in the Bates County Area.
They are accepting
orders from anyone living in Bates County for pick-up meals or delivered meals.
Orders will be taken now until November 25th, the Monday just before
Thanksgiving.
The goal is to
provide 600-700 meals county-wide.
As The Carpenter’s
Cup gets donations of food or promises to provide certain listed items, those
items will be either removed from the food list or adjusted to the still-needed
amount.
If you want to donate
money or food, bring those donations to
the Carpenters Cup in Butler. Money
donations can also be given to Judge Julie Highley. They are taking names for
volunteers for delivery and helping in the kitchen, and making the sweet potato
casserole. If you have questions or want to place your Thanksgiving meal order, call 660-679-3333.
A complete list of
needed food items may be found on The Carpenter’s Cup Facebook page.
