This year again, The Carpenters Cup Christian Gift and Book Store will be providing Thanksgiving baskets.
These " cook at home meal " baskets will
contain the makings for a full Thanksgiving dinner that has to be prepared at
home.
The baskets will have enough food to feed a small family of 4 or
5.
The Carpenters Cup will be able to provide 30 baskets. These
baskets are actually laundry baskets filled with all the food necessary to
prepare a Thanksgiving meal at home by those who request this type of
donation.
Thanksgiving meal baskets will be put together early in the week of
Thanksgiving. The person on the list will be notified by a phone call when they
are ready to be taken home.
To be notified when the baskets are prepared and ready for
pick-up you will need to make sure you have a working phone number and try to
answer the call when it comes in.
When the baskets are ready to be picked up, they will leave a message, and then contact The Carpenters Cup as soon as possible.
This may be asking a lot to make yourself available in the early
week, but they don't have the refrigerator or freezer space to keep the
perishable items.
