Ronald
Hedrick, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on October 21, 2024
in his home in Amsterdam, Missouri. Cremation, with a Celebration of Life Service
to be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 26, 2024 at the Amsterdam Baptist Church,
Amsterdam, Missouri. Arrangements
entrusted to Mullinax Funeral Home, Drexel Chapel (816-657-4400). Memorial contributions may be to the Hedrick

Ronald
Leigh Hedrick was born on July 20, 1945 to Daisy Wright Hedrick.
Ronald
was known for his kind heart and generous spirit. He had a passion for helping
others and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He
proudly served our country for 31 years in the Navy and Army National Guard, so
his family and friends can live freely.
Along
with his dedication to serving others, Ronald was also a loving family man. He
adored his wife of 56 years, Chris Hedrick, and their three children, Ron Jr.,
Trish and Sam. He took great pride in watching his children grow up and achieve
their dreams, and was a constant source of love and support for his
grandchildren, Marissa, Heather (Tyler), Taylor (Zach), Jeremiah, Ashleigh
(Andrew), and Lance “Alex” (Hailey). His sister Juanita (Kay) Pope and beloved
cat Mr. Kitty.
He
was an amazing papa to his great-grandchildren, Bentleigh, Daisy, McKenleigh,
Ava, Isla, and Veronica “Roni”.
Outside
of his family and community work, Ronald was a Deacon for the Amsterdam Baptist
Church and loved his brother in Christ Tom deeply, he was also a talented
artist. Ron loved to draw and make wood carvings. He loved his time in
Guatemala with his son Ron Jr. doing mission work and doing the work of Christ.
He also loved fishing
with
his grandchildren Lance and Bentleigh, zip lining in Guatemala with Jeremiah
and Ashleigh, and enjoying a cup of coffee in the mornings with his daughter
Trish and granddaughter Taylor.
Ron
loved his wife Chris of 56 years with everything he was. They shared an amazing
life together full of joy and laughter.
Ronald
will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, compassion, and love
for others will always be remembered and cherished. He leaves behind a legacy
of service and generosity that will continue to inspire those who were
fortunate enough to know him.
Rest
in peace, Ronald Hedrick. You will always be in our hearts.
