Mary Donovan, 75 of Drexel, Missouri passed
away October 6, 2024 at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the
Drexel Christian Church, 211 East Pine St. Drexel, Missouri, 64742. A
visitation and meal will follow the services Saturday at 12:00 pm, also at the
church. Services under the direction of Mullinax Funeral Home, Drexel
Chapel (816-657-4400). Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of

Mary was born on February 7 1949 in Drexel,
Missouri to Joe and Edna Bailey. She was raised in Drexel with her siblings and
attended school there until she graduated. In 1969 she married Dean Donovan and
moved to Kansas City. Mary was primarily a home maker her entire life. After
Cindy and Tim were born, they decided to move back home to Drexel in 1982 where
they both grew up to raise their own family.
Mary was always a very happy person that would
put a smile on anyone’s face. She loved to joke and make people laugh. She
enjoyed spending time with her family going out to eat. She loved her animals
and had many over the years. Mary also enjoyed watching old cartoons and
westerns her favorite was Tom and Jerry. She loved trains and anything to do
with them. Mary was “one in a million” and her smile was something that would
light up a room. We love and miss you Momma.
Mary was proceeded in death by her husband Dean Donovan, her parents Joe and
Edna Bailey, Brother Paul and his wife Dorothy, Son in law Robert Corlew, And
many others. She is survived by her Sister Judy Bodenhamer, brother Joe Bailey
and wife Suzi, Her daughter Cindy Corlew, son Tim Donovan and wife Destiny,
grand-children Jesse Donovan, Jordan Moles, River Studey, Mayson Mero, Bradley
Corlew, Robert Corlew, great-grandson Chistopher Allen, and many other family
and friends.
