From the Bates County Sheriff's Office: On behalf of the Adrian Fire Department and Adrian Police Department
On 10/9/24 at approximately 6:15am Bates County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in reference to a fire at the Methodist Church located at the intersection of Kentucky Street and Main Street in Adrian Mo.
When Adrian Police arrived on scene, they observed heavy smoke coming from the eaves of the building. As firemen made entry into the church they observed the church to be fully involved in fire.
The investigation into the cause of this fire is still under investigation. The Adrian Fire Department has requested assistance from the Fire Marshal’s Office and the ATF.
