A Bates County woman has been arrested on charges related to assault. According to a complaint filed in Bates County Circuit Court Katen Whitaker of Rich Hill has been charged with felony armed criminal action and the class D felony of assault in the second degree. According to a probable cause statement Whitaker allegedly got into an altercation with one of her neighbors in which she was allegedly armed with a broken pry bar. According to a warrant for arrest Whitaker has been placed on a $25,000 cash or surety bond and is to have no contact with the alleged victim.
