Kent grew up in Adrian, Missouri where he attended school and then moved to Butler, Missouri and was a 1976 graduate of Butler High School. He attended Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri for a couple of years. Kent was a pipe fitter and a member of the UA Local 178 of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union in Joplin, Missouri for over 40 years. Due to his job he traveled to many places across the United States. Kent loved to fish and a cold beer.
Kent is survived by a close friend, Curtis Vail and wife Vicki of Butler, Missouri; cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
