She was born April 26, 1931 at the family home seven miles east of Appleton City, Missouri, to Clara Mae Bock (Shoop) and Louis Frederick Bock. She was one of nine children and attended the Potts School House for eight years and then Appleton City High School, where she graduated in 1949. Jane worked at Citizens Bank in Appleton City for the six years following high school. She loved playing her straight saxophone, playing basketball, and riding her horse, Dolly Rambler, in her spare time.

In 1953, Jane married Dale Crockett and to this union three children were born; Patrick, Carolyn, and Charlotte. In 1983, Jane married Hendrix H. “Mac” McNabb and enjoyed 31 fun and loving years with him and their blended family, including Mac’s adult children Bob and Mary. She worked as a cashier clerk for Associated Natural Gas Company in Butler for 14 years, retiring in 1992.

Jane had a vibrant personality and never met a stranger. For many years, she enjoyed playing golf at the Butler Country Club and was the ever patient teacher/coach to anyone wanting help with their game. Other interests included being a member of P.E.O. and the United Methodist Church, playing cards/games, working in her yard, attending all the activities in which her children and grandchildren participated (including golf tournaments/ball games/horse shows), fishing for trout at Bennett Springs, Missouri and watching Netflix movies. Most of all, Jane enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They all had her heart!
