NO MORE PHONE BOOKS FOR BATES COUNTY
August is the month Bates County Residents look for the
latest phone book publication in their mailboxes. As of this year, there will
no longer be phone books published for Bates County Residents.
Time changes things… and this public service message
will probably only seem important to the older generation.
The Names and Numbers Phone Book Company just released
information to the media that the 2023 publication of a phone book will be the
last edition published for Bates County.
The first change consumers noticed was in 2020 when the
names of residents with their home addresses and phone numbers were not published
for the public.
The 2021 and forward publications, of the Names and Numbers Phone Book included business addresses and their phone numbers, to
include the Yellow Pages.
We fast forward to 2024 as Names and Numbers notified
the media that the Bates County Names and Numbers phone book would be the last publication. Vernon County will have
at least one more year of publication before they also stop the printing of
what we know as our Vernon County paper phone book.
The Names and Number phone book will be available on-line from the Names and Number Website.
