On Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at around 9:25pm, The Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Bates County Sheriff’s office responded to a Motorcycle accident on Route AA west of County Road NW 2001. The crash occurred when a 2002 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider driven by Blake A. Hartzell of Adrian, Missouri struck a deer I the roadway and overturned off the left side of the road. Mr. Hartzell was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City with serious injuries.
