The report was that a male was allegedly assaulting a female and chocking her and then later struck a young child in the back seat. Witnesses provided a video to the Sheriff's Office in an attempt to help identify the truck and the occupants.
Approximately 3 hours later, the Sheriff observed a vehicle
pulling into the parking lot of LP Mart in Adrian that matched the description
of the truck. The occupants in the truck appeared to be arguing. At the same
time dispatch was putting out a call for service dispatching deputies to a
residence in regards to the domestic call earlier in Butler. Once on seen the
deputies were able to identify the suspect as Justin Hough 2/11/1989.
As Hough exited the parking lot of the LP Mart the Sheriff
and an Adrian Police Officer made a traffic stop at 18 Highway and Business 49
in Adrian. Hough had visible signs of scratches on his face and marks on his
hands. Hough was taken into custody. The female party was interviewed and
serious injuries to her face were documented. Hough was taken to the Bates
County Jail were he was booked for Domestic Assault and Child Endangerment.

family services could be involved to ensure the safety of the children. For the
time being the children were released to the grandmother.

Endangerment with a bond set at $30,000 Cash Only. Additional charges may be
