The Carpenters Cup Summer Lunch Program

The past few years, the Carpenters Cup has been providing free summer lunches to the public. Typically, these lunches started after summer school ended but since there's no summer school this year, we plan to start giving out lunches the first part of June. These lunches were started so kids that normally got school lunches could have a noon day meal. With that said, the lunches are given to anyone. We serve 100 sacks lunches daily from Monday through Friday. They are delivered and given out on the square or at the south park. For these lunches to happen, we need donations of lunch food items such as lunch meats, cheese, peanut butter and jelly, bread, chips, cookies or brownies (store bought or homemade), puddings, or fruit cups, lunch sacks, sandwich baggies and money We also need volunteers to help prepare the lunches and to deliver the lunches. All food donations can be brought to the Carpenters Cup. Money donations can be brought to store or sent to us at 102 S. Bishop St. Butler, MO 64730. Volunteers can call 660-679-3333 to sign up. Thank you so much for helping to feed our children!
